Spartan uses in-process and final inspection, calibrated measurement equipment, job-specific documentation, and traceability based on the requirements of the drawing, quote, purchase order, and customer.
Standard inspection
Our standard inspection approach verifies material, features, finish, and workmanship against the job requirements. When a dimensioned print is provided, critical dimensions are selected for verification; when no print is provided, critical geometry is checked against the applicable manufacturing standard.
When you need documented inspection
Tell us at RFQ stage if the order requires a dimensional report, ballooned drawing, material certification, certificate of conformance, first article documentation, CMM work, source inspection, custom sampling plan, or another customer-specific record.
- Standard inspection: material, features, finish, and critical dimensions checked to requirements.
- Formal dimensional inspection: documented dimensions using calibrated tools and an agreed sampling plan.
- First article: AS9102-style documentation when specifically required and quoted.
- Material certification: heat/lot and specification documentation when required by the order.
- Special traceability: defined and agreed before production begins.
Documentation requirements can affect price, routing, outside processing, and lead time, so they should be identified before order acceptance.
